On September 22, we celebrate Bulgaria’s Independence Day. Happy holiday to all fellow Bulgarians!
Exactly 117 years ago, in the old capital Veliko Tarnovo, the Independence Manifesto was proclaimed, declaring Bulgaria a free and sovereign state, independent from the Ottoman Empire.
