AVDI Plus
Key programming, module adaptation, cluster calibration and ECU procedures — one complete interface.
ABRITES introduces a new addition to the PN021 – Instrument Cluster Data Manager (IC, BSI, BCCM, VSM, TCU), allowing automotive professionals to reuse donor AXN8 (EAT8) transmission control units in Peugeot and other Stellantis vehicles manufactured from 2018 onwards.
The procedure requires only the current vehicle PIN code. There is no need for the original transmission control unit, making it possible to complete repairs even when the original module is damaged, missing, or completely unusable.
This gives independent workshops a practical and cost-effective way to repair vehicles using second-hand transmission modules from salvage cars.
For supported software versions, donor AXN8 (EAT8) transmission control units can be personalized directly via OBDII, allowing the entire replacement procedure to be completed quickly without opening the module.
This is the fastest way to replace a faulty TCU and get the vehicle back on the road.
If the installed software version is not currently supported by OBD, the procedure can still be completed on the bench. Read the donor TCU using the ABRITES RH850/V850 Programmer, then adapt it using the vehicle PIN code.
This flexible approach allows workshops to successfully complete many more transmission module replacement jobs regardless of the software version installed in the donor unit.
Finding a new AXN8 (EAT8) transmission control unit can be expensive and often involves long delivery times. Used modules from donor vehicles, on the other hand, are widely available and significantly more affordable.
With the latest PN021 update, workshops can confidently install second-hand TCUs, reduce repair costs for their customers, and minimize vehicle downtime.
Key Benefits
Compatible with Peugeot and other Stellantis vehicles equipped with the Aisin AXN8 (EAT8) 8-speed automatic transmission, including many of the most popular models produced from 2018 onwards.
