Personalization Without Previously Saved FBS4 Data from the Original Module Coming for the Latest CRD3 MFA ECU Software Versions
The next ABRITES software update will expand support for CRD3 MFA ECUs, used in Mercedes-Benz vehicles adding personalization for the latest software versions without previously saved FBS4 data from the original module.
What’s New?
With MN034 DAS4/FBS4 Personalization Expert, technicians will be able to perform:
- Setting a replacement ECU to virgin state
- Personalization without previously saved FBS4 data from the original ECU
- Adaptation of the replacement ECU
This is particularly useful when the original ECU is damaged, inaccessible or its FBS4 data cannot be retrieved.
Personalization when FBS4 data from the original module is available can be done using the DAS Manager for FBS4 cars license (MN032).
Supported Mercedes-Benz Applications
CRD3 MFA ECUs can be found in Mercedes-Benz diesel applications including:
- Mercedes-Benz A-Class W176
- Mercedes-Benz A-Class W177
- Mercedes-Benz B-Class W246
- Mercedes-Benz W156
Replace the ECU with a Second-Hand Unit
One of the biggest advantages of this functionality is the possibility to use a compatible second-hand ECU as a replacement, even when previously saved FBS4 data from the original module is not available.
For the technician, this means a faster and more cost-effective repair, with greater flexibility when sourcing replacement modules.
